On Dec. 15, 2016, our alumni Mr. Teng Zhou has successfully defensed his PhD dissertation entitled “Systematic Methods for Reaction Solvent Design and Integrated Solvent and Process Design” with the highest evaluation level “Very Good”.

     Teng finished his master study in our group and graduated with the highest honor of Shanghai Outstanding Graduate in 2012. His master thesis entitled “Investigation of Ionic Liquids as Solvent for Extractive Separation of Benzene and Cyclohexane” was awarded Shanghai Excellent Thesis Award for Graduate Students thanks to his four high quality peer-refereed papers.

     After his master study, he joined the group of Process Systems Engineering at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems supervised by Prof. Kai Sundmacher.
